Day 18. What is scanxiety?
Scanxiety is scan-anxiety and occurs in most MBC patients as their scan date approaches. Good test results are either stability (mets not growing or spreading) or NED (no evidence of disease).

What we don't want is a call the following day from the doctor's office, asking us to come in ASAP...like in March when the blood clots in my lung were spotted.
Other than that, I really haven't had opportunity to experience any scanxiety. It helps not being scanned too often! Plus, I'm not one to get too anxious about something about (in?) which I have no control.
