There's a new kid in town
This is Charles Barkley, or Charlie for short. We found him in the parking lot on Sunday evening. According to neighbors in the building next door, he'd been hanging around for 2 days, which fits completely with the guy who walked over the dike with a live trap and dumped something on Friday. At the time, we figured he had caught a skunk or woodchuck, and while we weren't thrilled he was dumping in Nesbitt, we didn't confront him. Now we think it was Charlie. Some people are jerks.
He's a doll. He's a purrer and a kneader. Judging by his size vs son's kittens, we think he's about 5 months old. He has been very happy since we took him in and we have enjoyed watching his front paws kneading our legs, our hands, our laps, the air. He's content. Allen & Larry have been like 2 cranky old ladies, but are slowly coming around - Larry was playing with Charlie this morning...until he remembered this was a newcomer, haha!
We aren't keeping him - son #2 is taking him after he moves into a new place. As cute as he is, I can't handle kitten energy and three cats are just a bit too much! I'll enjoy him while he's here, but will be totally fine with him leaving.
