It's becoming an eyesore
The Irem Temple is one of my favorite buildings in Wilkes-Barre and always a stop on a walk around town. The detail on the facade is beautiful and even the brick work is art. Sadly, on my last walk past, it was almost impossible to see any of the pretty at or near eye-level because of the overgrown trees and bushes. The 2x4s nailed across one door made me sad, too. I love to see the glass half full, but sadly, I think the Irem Temple's glass is half empty and it will go the way of the Sterling.
