Mountains, for no reason.
Other than I was looking for shots for a contest (which I ended up not entering). This is what I consider mountains. Sorry NEPA! But, in all fairness, I wouldn't want to hike up in either place.
Taken on the way up to and from Pike's Peak in Colorado at an altitude of 14,000+. We were above the tree line - those trees are full-size pines.
You see for a little bit from up there. Pretty, but barren.
This was not at the peak, but at a place called Garden of the Gods. I can see why!
As a "flatlander" at heart, I cannot imagine ever living there. Winter is some serious shit in Colorado.
