Hodge-podge
I had occasion to spend some time at Eckley Miners" Village over the weekend. It's an interesting place for lovers of history. It is also a visual treat.
A planned 19th century coal mining town, it has some great examples of how immigrant coal miners lived. And they lived in some great old wooden structures. To a lot of people, the structures probably look pretty shack-like, but I see such great textures and color and wear, it's hard to know where to point the camera!
Flaking paint, multiple layers of peeling siding, saggy beams - there's a lot going on! And the shape of some of the structures....
Need more room? Just add it!
