Winter Along the River

One year ago today, we (Riverfront Parks Committee) held Winter Along the River. It had been originally scheduled to be held in February, but because of dangerously low temperatures, it was rescheduled to March 1st. It worked out well, with snow on the ground and tolerable temps.

This year's event is being held this weekend. As of right now, it looks like it will be about 40 and sunny. No snow. I'm conflicted! Yay for a milder winter, but boo because the dogs are so gorgeous in the snow! They will still run using a wheeled cart instead of a sled and they will still exhibit joy at getting to work. One can't help but smile when the dogs start dancing in anticipation of pulling - it's what happy looks like!
