Up a lazy river

We spent some time on the boat while we were in Michigan and it was time well spent. Nice and lazy! There are lots of lakes out there - Minnesota may be the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but Michigan could claim that, too! (I just learned that any body of water less than 25 acres is considered a pond.) We started on Strawberry Lake and wandered. The channels/river are quiet and filled with turtles sunning themselves on logs, with an occasional heron and osprey thrown in. Cedar waxwings were bug-catching over the water all around us on one day, and we saw too many swans to count. It was VERY enjoyable.

We are already thinking about visiting next year!
