Veteran's Day

Back from deployment

Unless we've done it, I don't think any of us will truly understand the sacrifices soldiers make when they join the service. They go into it with eyes wide open, knowing that there will be deployments, but that can't make the time away any easier. Time away from family, missing anniversaries, birthdays, babies being born, and day to day life with family, on top of the whole war thing...how strong these people are!  On the flip side, some really great relationships, started through mutual misery, can be born.

As a mother, I am so proud of my boys for serving (in addition to my general mom proud state, haha). 

As a mother, I am so happy they are home and safe.
