...how to get to Sesame Street?



Elmo, Cookie Monster, some Disney characters, Dora, Mario and Luigi, minions...NYC was teeming with celebrities on Saturday.  They were all a bit creepy. Trying to get a shot was tricky because I couldn't stop or I'd be run over, either by a taxi or a crowd!  So a lot of my shots are just holding the camera out and clicking. I must say, that is a fun way to do it sometimes - you never know what you'll end up with!

As for real celebrities, I did catch a fleeting glimpse of Orlando Bloom as he popped back into the theater after stepping outside after the show.  I do not understand the people who stand outside a stage door, waiting (excluding photographers trying to make $$), but then they probably wouldn't understand me getting up at dawn to walk down a slippery hill, through knee high wet grass and then down a muddy bank to catch a shot of the river in the fog.

At least there are fewer crowds on the riverbank :)

(this could also be a commentary on people's use of their phone, because everywhere, people had their heads down looking at a screen)
