Weekly Photo Challenge: Monument
One of the nicer monuments in Hollenback, if one considers grave markers nice. Some are like pieces of art - this is one of them. The engraving is worn and hard to read, especially given the monument's location...set into a very steep hill. A man, seemingly sorrowful, his papers and hat dropped to his feet. I wonder about the story behind it and will likely never know it.
Certainly not your typical marker, but very interesting. It would be interesting to know if the grave was for a woman or man. These are nice shots.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I have a height thing (as in they make me dizzy) and steep inclines have the same effect. Someday, I'll just suck it up and scoot my way to it ;)
